Mac malware’s abbreviated history

Recently, the Sophos Naked Security blog posted on the short history of Mac malware.

15 Mac malware events since 1982. Not bad! As the article mentions, folks have strong opinions on whether the malware issue with Macs is hype or not. I think there is risk. I think it is significantly less than with a Windows machine. I think it doesn’t hurt you at all to run an anti-virus and anti-malware application just in case.

Want a recommendation for a good Mac-based anti-virus tool? I like the free Sophos Anti-Virus for home use.
