Saying NO!
by Nora Rubinoff on May 19, 2008
The Ririan Project had a good write up on saying no and meaning it.
Saying no can be a challenge for a number of reasons. You might be concerned that you will disappoint someone. You might even be fearful of disappointing someone. Some people don’t want to say no because they are concerned about people viewing them as disinterested. The reasons go on and on.
Saying no is a great way of being gentle with yourself. Use the proper body language, voice and eye contact — and say no. Be prepared for those who won’t take no for an answer and BE FIRM! My recent experiences with a bully client gave me some opportunities to practice.
Today, as a gift to yourself, say NO!
