cellphonesI’ve been a Slydial alpha and beta tester and was excited for its launch.  I’m honored to have been quoted in this CNN.com article about Slydial.

From the same folks who created www.joopz.com, the web-based text messaging service, Slydial has helped me with making quick and efficient client reminder calls or connecting with somone in another time zone without disturbing them.

Setting up an account with Slydial couldn’t be easier.  Whether you decide on a basic or premium account, the service is simple to use.  The web interface allows you to add contacts and also to dial from the web.  To Slydial any mobile phone number from your phone, just dial 267-SLYDIAL (in the US only).  Enter the number you wish to leave a voice message for and when prompted, record your message.  Note – Slydial only works when leaving messages to mobile phone numbers.

Slydial Premium accounts don’t have advertising for you to listen to before you record your message.  Rates, from the Slydial web site, are .15 per use for pay as you go, or $4.95 per month/$29.95/year for unlimited.  Basic plans are free.

While www.slydial.com suggests some humorous personal situations for utilizing the service, there are practical business applications for utilizing Slydial.  Give Slydial a try by calling 267-SLYDIAL or logging on to www.slydial.com.
